Kylie Cosmetics Sailor Palette Review

Kylie Cosmetics Sailor Palette Review

Kylie launch this collection around the ends of August. Honestly I was mainly drawn to the blue shades in the palette. I have always love blue eye shadow. If a palette has any kind of blue I'm automaticly drawn to it 10x's more. Overall the palette performs amazing. Kylie has a good eye shadow formula. The shades are pigment, and easy to blend. This could be for good for the person who is getting more into colorful shades. It has a nice mix for neutral and more colorful shades. I was caught off guard when I realized that this palette has metallic shades mix with glitter. If I had known it has glitter then I wouldn't have gotten it. There was only one shade that gave me a bit of problem which was "deep sea" it had more of dry feeling than the other metallic glitter shades. It gave me more of what a true glitter would feel like.

The picture on the top was taken with natural lighting.

The next part will be on the eye shadow look I created and what shades I use:

The shades I use "Tidal Wave" as my transition shade. Then I went with "Wavy" on my crease. Next, I went with "On Board" on the outer crease. For my lid shade it's "Don't be Salty." That shade is when I realized that most of the metallic glitter formula.

The shades I used for this blue look are "Tidal Wave" for my transition shade. I build up that shade to be a bit more dark. Then, I went into "Blue Ocean" on my outer crease. I pack on this shade then blend it out softly. Lastly, I go into is "Got the Blue on my lid. Honestly this isn't my favorite eyeshadow look. I feel like could have blend it out a bit more.

The shades I used for this pinkish redish look. For my transition I used "Come Aboard" this shade surprised me. It's a very pale pink shadow. I was hard to see on the eye be itself. Then, I went into "Tight Ship" for my crease. This one of pink colors I really like. For the outer crease I use "Total Catch" I had to pack it on then blend it out. As I was blending it out I would see that it would blend out to a medium tone pink. The shade I used for my lid is "Deep Sea." Like I said before not my favorite shade a lot due to the fact it's more of a glitter shade.

Final Thought on the Palette

Honestly this is a beautiful look palette. If I would have read that it had some type of glitter formula I wouldn't have gotten it. Yes the matte shades blend amazing but that one shade kinda ruins the vibe of the palette. I don't mind the other metallic glitter shades those feel creamy not ruff.
